The New England Patriots announced the release of FB Eric Kettani on Tuesday.
This moves comes as the team signed veteran WR Reggie Wayne to a contract, so it’s likely that Wayne will take Kettani’s spot on their roster.
Kettani, 28, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Navy back in 2009. He spent just over two years in New England before he was waived at the start of the 2011 season.
Since then, Kettani has played for the Redskins, Chiefs, and Jaguars before returning to the Patriots a few weeks ago.
Kettani has yet to appear in an NFL game.
