Patriots Signing TE Hunter Henry To Two-Year, $16M Extension

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Patriots are signing TE Hunter Henry to a two-year extension.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter adds the deal is worth $16 million with a maximum value of $20 million. Schefter mentions it includes $14.5 million guaranteed and a $4.2 million signing bonus.

Henry, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2016. He played out his four-year, $6.38 million rookie contract that included $3.98 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $1.32 million in the final year of the agreement.

Henry played the 2020 season under the franchise tag worth $10.6 million. He was testing the open market for the first time and signed a three-year, $37.3 million deal with the Patriots in 2021. He then re-signed a three-year, $27 million extension with New England in 2024.

In 2025, Henry appeared in 17 games for the Patriots and caught 60 passes for 768 yards and seven touchdowns.
