According to Albert Breer, the Patriots brought in five free agents for workouts on Tuesday including four kickers and a punter.
The full list of tryouts includes:
- K Nick Folk
- K Greg Joseph
- K Austin MacGinnis
- K Giorgio Tavecchio
- P Austin Rehkow
Tavecchio, 28, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of California back in 2012. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster and was released at the start of the season.
After short stints with the Packers and Lions, Tavecchio was claimed by the Raiders. He spent over three years in Oakland before the Falcons signed him to a contract last year. Unfortunately, he wound up being among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
In 2018, Tavecchio appeared in three games for the Falcons and converted 5 of 5 field goal attempts to go along with 8 of 8 extra point attempts.
