Raiders Looking To Trade For Linebacker, Pass-Rush Help

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Raiders plan to be buyers leading up to the trade deadline on Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Schefter reports that the Raiders have already called around the league looking for linebackers and pass rush help.

Oakland is currently second in the AFC West at 3-2 and the Chiefs just lost QB Patrick Mahomes for between 3-6 weeks, according to reports, so the Raiders clearly feel like they’ve got a chance to push for a playoff spot.

For what it’s worth, some of the speculative names that have come up as potential trade candidates at these positions include Patriots DE Michael Bennett, Falcons DE Vic Beasley, Bengals LB Preston Brown, Falcons LB DeVondre Campbell, Broncos DE Adam Gotsis and Chiefs LB Reggie Ragland.

As for available free agents, the most notable players include Nick Perry, Shane Ray, Andre Branch, Dion Jordan, Michael Johnson, Nate Orchard, Zach Brown, Brandon Marshall, Manti Te’o, Malcolm Smith, Deone Bucannon and Mason Foster.

As of now, the Raiders have Clelin Ferrell, Arden Key, Benson Mayowa and Josh Mauro at defensive end and Tahir Whitehead, Justin Phillips and Nicholas Morrow at linebacker.

We’ll have more regarding the Raiders as the news is available.
