Raiders Looking To Trade Down From No. 10 Overall?

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports has spoken to several teams who have mentioned that the Raiders could be the team to watch regarding draft trades.

La Canfora admits that the Raiders’ No. 10 overall isn’t exceedingly valuable in and of itself, but this could end up being a target for a team looking to trade up for a quarterback. By moving up to No. 10 overall, a team would position themselves ahead of teams believed to be interested in quarterbacks including the Bills, Dolphins, Cardinals and Ravens.

According to La Canfora, the Patriots are a team to watch in a move up to the board now that they have the No. 23 and No. 31 overall picks and he’s heard them connected to Baker Mayfield and Mason Rudolph.

Another factor that could play into the Raiders’ decision to possibly trade down in round one is the fact that this would give them more picks to use on young, cheap players to fill out their roster needs.

We have the Raiders taking LB Roquan Smith in our latest 2018 NFL Mock Draft.
