Raiders Place First-Round Pick CB D.J. Hayden On Season-Ending IR

Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times reports that the Raiders are placing first-round pick CB D.J. Hayden on season-ending injured reserve list with a groin injury.

Hayden suffered the injury during practice a few weeks ago, which forced him to miss the teamโ€™s last two games. HC Dennis Allen recently mentioned that he expected Hayden to be out โ€œa while,โ€ so itโ€™s really not all that surprising to see him get placed on injured reserve.

Hayden played in eight games this season totaling 26 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.

Oakland will keep Tracy Porter and Mike Jenkins in place as their starting cornerbacks moving forward.
