Raiders Place First-Round Pick CB D.J. Hayden On Season-Ending IR

Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times reports that the Raiders are placing first-round pick CB D.J. Hayden on season-ending injured reserve list with a groin injury.

Hayden suffered the injury during practice a few weeks ago, which forced him to miss the team’s last two games. HC Dennis Allen recently mentioned that he expected Hayden to be out “a while,” so it’s really not all that surprising to see him get placed on injured reserve.

Hayden played in eight games this season totaling 26 tackles, one interception, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.

Oakland will keep Tracy Porter and Mike Jenkins in place as their starting cornerbacks moving forward.
