Raiders Re-Sign RFA QB Nathan Peterman & OT David Sharpe

Raiders restricted free agent QB Nathan Peterman and OT David Sharpe officially signed their one-year tenders for the 2020 season on Thursday.

The Raiders placed original-round tenders on Peterman and Sharpe that will cost them $2.133 million for the 2020 season.

Peterman, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bills back in 2017. The Bills made the decision to move on from Peterman in November of last year and he eventually signed on to the Raiders’ practice squad.

The Raiders brought Peterman back on a futures contract last year. However, he was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason. Peterman will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.

In 2018, Peterman appeared in four games for the Bills and completed 54.3 percent of his passes for 296 yards, one touchdown and seven interceptions. He also rushed for 50 yards and touchdown.

Sharpe, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2017. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed on to the Texans’ practice squad after clearing waivers.

Houston later promoted Sharpe to their active roster before waiving in 2018. He later claimed off of waivers by the Raiders.

Sharpe will be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.

In 2019, Sharpe appeared in nine games for the Raiders and made two starts.
