Raiders Will Officially Announce Greg Olson & Paul Guenther As New Coordinators Tuesday

According to Ian Rapoport, the Raiders will officially announce the hires of OC Greg Olson and DC Paul Guenther on Tuesday during Jon Gruden’s press conference. Rapoport says that contracts for Olson and Guenther will be official by then.

Oakland is also expected to hire Cowboys STs coach Rich Bisaccia as their special teams coordinator.

Reports have said for a few days now that Olson and Guenther were going to end up in Oakland, so this is really just a confirmation.

Guenther, 46, began his NFL coaching career back in 2002 as an assistant coach for the Redskins. He left after two years to join the Bengals’ coaching staff and was eventually promoted to defensive coordinator after the team lost Mike Zimmer to the Vikings in 2014.

Olson, 54, began his NFL coaching career with the Bears back in 2003 as their QBs coach. Since then, he’s worked for the Rams, Buccaneers, Jaguars and Raiders before the Rams hired him as their QBs coach last year.
