Rams & DT Michael Brockers Agree To Three-Year Extension

Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is โ€œhearingโ€ that the Rams and DT Michael Brockers have agreed to a contract extension.

There had been talk that an extension for Brockers could be coming, as he and WR Tavon Austin were reportedly priorities for Los Angeles, so this doesnโ€™t come as a complete surprise.

Brockers, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He was in the final year of his four-year, $9.522 million rookie contract when the Rams picked up his fifth-year option.

Brockers stands to make a base salary of $6.146 million for the 2016 season under the fifth-year option.

In 2015,  Brockers appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 44 tackles and three sacks.
