The Rams were long expected to discuss an extension for McVay this offseason, so this does not come as a big surprise given the team’s success.
McVay, 32, began his NFL coaching career with the Buccaneers as an assistant back in 2008. He was hired a few years later by the Redskins as their assistant TEs coach and he managed to work his way up to offensive coordinator before the Rams brought him in as their head coach in 2017.
McVay was Coach of the Year in 2017.
Since taking over as the Rams’ head coach in 2017, McVay has led to the team to a record of 24-8 (75 percent) to go along with two playoff appearances and one trip to the Super Bowl.
Snead, 48, was hired by the Rams as their general manager back in 2012 along with HC Jeff Fisher.
During his time with the team, the Rams have produced a record of 55-56-1. Prior to hiring McVay as head coach in 2017, the Rams endured five straight losing seasons and no playoff appearances.
