The Baltimore Ravens announced Thursday that they’ve activated DT Brandon Williams from the COVID-19 list and placed CB Anthony Averett on injured reserve.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list after just three games.
Williams, 31, is a former third-round pick of the Ravens back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $2,675,000 rookie contract before returning to Baltimore on a five-year, $52.5 million contract that included $24.5 million guaranteed in 2017.
The Ravens restructured his contract this offseason and he stands to make base salaries of $4.25 million and $7.5 million over the final two years of the contract.
In 2020, Williams has appeared in four games for the Ravens and recorded 13 total tackles, one tackle for loss, and no sacks.
