Ravens Activating WR Steve Smith From PUP List

The Baltimore Ravens are activating WR Steve Smith (Achilles) from the active/PUP list on Wednesday now that he has passed his physical, according to Jeff Zrebiec.

  • Zrebiec adds that Smith is expected to practice as soon as Monday.

Smith said last year that 2015 was going to be his final season in the NFL, but he later changed his mind and is instead hoping to put together a better final season in the NFL.

Smith, 36, has two years remaining on his three-year, $10.5 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $3 million this year and next. Smith suffered a torn Achilles earlier in the season that led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve.

In 2015, Smith has appeared in seven games and caught 46 passes for 670 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the Ravens.
