Ravens Believe CB Nate Wiggins Avoided Major Injury In Training Camp

Ravens CB Nate Wiggins was carted off from Tuesday’s practice after he went down in the end zone. However, Ian Rapoport reported that Wiggins avoided structural damage to a potential lower-body injury.

ESPN’s Jamison Hensley said it looked like a left leg/knee injury in training camp practice and noted Wiggins couldn’t put any weight on it when heading into the facility.

Jeff Zrebiec confirmed that Baltimore believes Wiggins avoided a major injury. Although the cornerback could be sidelined, he’s expected back “sooner rather than later.”

Jordan Schultz also reports that Wiggins did not suffer any ligament damage and that the cornerback will continue to undergo tests.

Per Hensley, Ravens HC Jesse Minter said at the time of Wiggins’s injury, “I don’t have a ton of information yet,” but added, “I think there’s optimism,” and wouldn’t give a timeline.

Wiggins, 22, was a two-year starter at Clemson and earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2023. He was selected by the Ravens with the No. 30 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.

He’s entering the third year of a four-year, $12,819,822 contract that includes a $6,143,508 signing bonus and will carry a $3,496,315 cap figure for the 2026 season.

In 2025, Wiggins appeared in all 17 games for the Ravens and recorded 76 total tackles, two tackles for loss, three interceptions and 14 passes defended.
