Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey Arrested In Alabama On 3rd-Degree Robbery Charge

The Baltimore Ravens released the following statement regarding the news that CB Marlon Humphrey was arrested in Tuscaloosa on and charged with third-degree robbery.

According to Michael Casagrande of Al.com, Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey was arrested in Tuscaloosa on and charged with third-degree robbery.

Jamison Hensley reports that Humphrey allegedly stole a charger valued at $15. The incident took place on Jan. 13 at the Hotel Capstone on the University of Alabama’s campus and Humphrey was suspected of using alcohol.

The police report shows that an Uber driver picked Humphrey and two other unknown females up. Humphrey asked to borrow a cell phone cable to charge his phone and the driver handed him his personal charging cable. However, Humphrey allegedly refused to give the cable back to the driver and grabbed several other cables from inside the vehicle. Humphrey refused to give them back and elbowed the driver in the side and damaged other property upon exiting the vehicle.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Humphrey in the hotel, holding the cell phone cable. Humphrey said it belonged to him but officers noticed that it didn’t fit his phone and returned the cable to the driver.

Humphrey was booked in Tuscaloosa County Jail on $2,500 bond, according to the report. .

In the state of Alabama, a third-degree robbery charge is a Class C felony.

Humphrey, 21, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2017. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $11.9 million contract that’s fully guaranteed and he stands to make base salaries of $1 million and $1.54 million over the first two years of the agreement.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Ravens to pick up in 2020.

In 2017, Humphrey appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 34 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 33 cornerback out of 120 qualifying players.
