ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Ravens have in fact signed Haloti Ngata to a five-year contract extension. Schefter adds that the deal is worth $61 million and includes $40 million in first two years.

Albert Breer of NFL Network is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens and Pro Bowl DT Haloti Ngata are close reaching a longterm extension.
Negotiations have likely picked up as the deadline to re-sign players that have been designated with a franchise tag close later today.
Ngata is without a doubt one of the best players in the NFL right now and certainly one of the best at the nose tackle position. Baltimore will have to surpass Vince Wilfork‘s  five-year, $40 million deal but that shouldn’t be an issue considering his importance to their team.
