Ravens Decline DB Brandon Carr’s Option

Update: Aaron Wilson reports the Ravens have officially declined the option for CB Brandon Carr

Wilson notes Carr would make sense as a free agent for the Cowboys and Texans.

According to Jamison Hensley, the Ravens are expected to decline DB Brandon Carr‘s option this week.

This move will free up $6 million in cap space for the Ravens to work with.

Carr, 33, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2008. After four years in Kansas City, Carr signed a five-year, $50.1 million contract that included $25.5 million guaranteed with the Cowboys in 2012.

Carr signed a four-year, $24 million contract with the Ravens back in 2016.

In 2019, Carr appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 49 tackles, two sacks and six interceptions.
