Ravens “Loved” ILB Dont’a Hightower Before The Patriots Moved Up For Him

SI.com’s Peter King writes that the Baltimore Ravens “loved” Alabama ILB Dont’a Hightower and probably would have taken him had the Patriots not traded up to No. 25 overall for him.

King adds that Baltimore was also targeting Wisconsin G Kevin Zeitler, but he too was taken just before they were on the clock. King sees Alabama  DE/OLB Courtney Upshaw as a logical option for them at No. 35 overall. We’d also add in C/G Peter Konz, WR Stepthen Hill and possibly even Marshall DE/OLB Vinny Curry as speculative options.
