Ravens Expected To Prioritize An Extension For LT Eugene Monroe

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that the Baltimore Ravens are treating LT Eugene Monroe‘s contract extension as a priority.

After having acquired of Monroe in a mid-season trade with Jacksonville, the team has had an impressive level of stability on the blind side for the first time in a while.

Monroe is set to be an unrestricted free agent in March and considering that the Ravens don’t have a replacement on their roster, it would make sense for them to try to get something hammered out before free agency is underway.

Baltimore will also need to make a decision regarding RT Michael Oher who will also be an unrestricted free agent. However, the Ravens are unlikely to offer him a top-ten contract for right tackles after his recent struggles.

Should Oher not return, the Ravens could give G Kelechi Osemele a shot at right tackle.

We have Monroe listed as the No. 16 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
