Ravens Reportedly Have TE Eric Ebron As Their โ€œNumber One Targetโ€

Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net reports that โ€œseveral sourcesโ€ have informed him that the Ravens have North Carolina TE Eric Ebron as their โ€œnumber one target.โ€

According to Pauline, Baltimore has โ€œcovetedโ€ Ebron for quite some time. However, Pauline adds that the Steelers could be the one team standing in the way of the Ravens landing Ebron at No. 17 overall.

One other notes from Pauline regarding Ebron, the Giants could be โ€œsouringโ€ on him for โ€œpersonality red flags.โ€

Jordan Raanan reported about a week ago that indications are that the Giants arenโ€™t โ€œespecially highโ€ on Ebron.

Meanwhile, Dan Pompei of the Bleacher Report recently mentioned that NFL teams drafting in the โ€œlow teens or even high 20sโ€ could consider a trade up for Ebron if he falls out of the top-ten, so there could be other teams involved by the time the Steelers are on the clock.

Pompei specifically mentions that the JetsDolphinsCardinals and Packers could all shown interest in trading up for Ebron if falls into the middle part of round one.

For what itโ€™s worth, Ebron has reportedly worked out for the RavensBillsPanthers and Lions in recent months.

Ebron appeared in 13 games and caught 62 passes for 972 yards receiving and three touchdowns during his final year at North Carolina.

We have Ebron going to the Jets in the first round of our recently updated 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
