Ray Lewis Out For The Rest Of The Regular Season

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is unlikely to return for either of the team’s two remaining regular season games, but adds that he could return at some point during the postseason.

Lewis has been absent since tearing his triceps in back in Week 6 against the Cowboys. Since then, the Ravens have gone 4-4 with a current three-game losing streak. Jameel McClain, Lewis’ replacement, have been placed on season-ending injured reserve, which forced Baltimore to promote Adrian Hamilton off of their practice squad.

Lewis has been practicing with the team for the last three weeks and appears to be ready, however, the team will not risk him re-aggravating the injury if he comes back before he’s ready.
