Redskins Activating WR Leonard Hankerson From PUP List

Redskins HC Jay Gruden told reporters on Monday that they are activating WR Leonard Hankerson from the physically unable to perform list, per Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington.

  • Washington will have to make a corresponding roster move to free up a spot for Hankerson.

Hankerson, 25, is working his way back from from a torn ACL and LCL that he suffered last year. He returned to practice a few weeks ago, so it was clear that he could be added to their roster at some point in the near future.

Hankerson is in the final year of his rookie contract and will make $645,000 for the 2014 season. Last year, he was limited to appearing in 10 games during which he caught 30 passes for 375 yards and three touchdowns.
