Redskins Hire Raheem Morris To Coach Their Secondary

Rick Stroud of the St Petersburg Time reports that the Washington Redskins have hired former Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris to take over their secondary.

The Minnesota Vikings brought in Morris for a visit and were reported to be offering a comparable position and possibly even better job than what the Redskins were willing to offering but Morris ultimately chose to join Jim Hasslets group in D.C. The deal clincher could be that the title of assistant coach but we’ll have to wait and see what if that’s part of the deal.

This should give Morris the opportunity to build on his coaching career away from the spot light. He should get consideration for a better position in the coming years.
