Redskins Hiring Four Coaches Including Ken Zampese As QBs Coach

Albert Breer of SI.com reports that theRedskins are hiring Ken Zampese as QBs coach, John Matsko as OL coach, Jim Hostler as WRs coach, and Pete Hoener as TEs coach.

Breer notes that three of four were actually with new Redskins head coach Ron Rivera in Carolina.

Earlier in the day, the Redskins hired Scott Turner as their new offensive coordinator, so Rivera’s staff will have a number of holdovers from his time in Carolina.

Zampese, 52, began his NFL coaching career with the Eagles as an offensive assistant back in 1998. Since then, he worked for the Packers and Rams before the Bengals hired him as their quarterbacks coach in 2003.

The Bengals promoted Zampese to offensive coordinator for the 2016 season. However, he was fired as offensive coordinator a few weeks into the 2017 season.

From there, Zampese joined the Browns as their quarterbacks coach for the 2018 season.
