Redskins Looking To Upgrade At WR, Possibly Make “Big Splash” In Trade Market

JP Finlay of NBC Washington continues to hear that the Redskins want to upgrade at receiver this offseason and one source tells him that this isn’t confined to just free agency.

According to Finlay, the Redskins could be looking at the trade for receiver help and he’s heard the team is looking to make a “big splash” more than once.

The free agent receiver market is pretty limited in terms of impact talent. Golden Tate is best available receiver right now, but is more a slot receiver.

As for trade options, there has been some speculation about Bengals WR A.J. Green being a potential trade candidate. However, reports have said that the Bengals have no plans to move him.

The Redskins were linked to DeSean Jackson for a brief period of time before he was traded back to the Eagles.

Eagles WR Nelson Agholor came up as a possible trade candidate, but also wouldn’t qualify as an impact move.

The two most notable receivers available for trade have already been moved in Antonio Brown and Odell Beckham, but it’s possible we could hear some more names surfaced in the coming days/weeks.

We’ll have more regarding the Redskins as the news is available.
