Redskins Open To Re-Signing Tim Hightower If Healthy

Zac Boyer from the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star reports that the Redskins are open to re-signing RB Tim Hightower, despite the fact that they released him a few days ago.

Hightower was cut due to his knee flaring up after making his debut against the Colts a week ago. The Redskins backfield remains a mystery, or at least that’s how Mike Shanahan wants to keep it. If the likes of Roy Helu, Evan Royster and Alfred Morris struggle in the first few weeks, Hightower will almost certainly receive a phone call.
