Update:

Redskins HC Jay Gruden announced the signing of DE/OLB Everette Brown on Monday.

John Keim of ESPN first reported that the Redskins have signed DE/OLB Everette Brown to a contract.

This comes just a day after the team waived 2013 fifth-round pick Brandon Jenkins.

Brown, 26, was taken with No. 43 overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers, but lasted just two season before being released. He signed with the Cowboy in October of last season in order to add some much needed depth at defensive line.

However, Brown was released by Dallas in February and hadn’t found much reported interest on the open market before today.

Last year, Brown produced 10 tackles and a forced fumble over the course of seven games with the Cowboys.
