Redskins Sign Three Tryout Players, Cut Two

The Washington Redskins announced Monday that they have signed three tryout players to contracts including OL Casey Dunn, LB Vontae Diggs and WR Darvin Kidsy following the team’s rookie minicamp last weekend.

Washington also waived WR Mikah Holder and C Sean Welsh (left squad designation).

Regarding Welsh being cut with a left squad designation, he announced last week that he was retiring from playing football, despite the opportunity with the Redskins.

Diggs wound up going undrafted out of UConn a few weeks ago before securing a tryout with the Redskins this past weekend.

During his four-year college career at UConn, Diggs recorded 183 tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, three forced fumbles and four pass defenses over the course of 36 games.
