Eagles Signing G Josh LeRibeus To Futures Deal

Chris Russell reports that the Eagles are signing G Josh LeRibeus to a future/reserve contract on Wednesday.

LeRibeus becomes the 11th player to sign a futures deal with the Eagles since their season ended. The full list includes:

  1. LB Don Cherry (NFLTR)
  2. TE Anthony Denham
  3. G Darrell Green
  4. CB Aaron Grymes
  5. WR Marcus Johnson
  6. C Aaron Neary
  7. DT Aziz Shittu
  8. WR David Watford
  9. WR Rasheed Bailey
  10. CB Mitchell White
  11. G Josh LeRibeus

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.

LeRibeus, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Redskins back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time this year.

The Redskins decided to re-sign him back in March, but he was unfortunately waived as the team cut down to the 53-man limit.

In 2015, LeRibeau appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 60 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
