Redskins Worked Out 6 Players Including RB Isaiah Pead & DT Jordan Hill

John Keim of ESPN reports that the Redskins brought in free agent RB Isaiah Pead for a workout on Monday. However, Keim adds that it doesn’t sound as though Washington will be signing anyone.

Pead, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2012. He was in the final year of his four-year, $4.038 million rookie contract when St. Louis waived him a few months ago.

The Steelers later signed him to a contract after Le’Veon Bell got hurt, but he lasted just a few weeks in Pittsburgh. The Dolphins wound up signing him to a contract back in March and he managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was cut loose a few weeks ago as Miami had a number of changes to their roster.

In 2016, Pead has appeared in three games and rushed for 22 yards on eight carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with one reception for six yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Dolphins.

Hill, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.76 million contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

The Seahawks waived Hill with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list. Seattle cut him loose la few weeks ago.

In 2015, Hill appeared in 10 games for the Seahawks and recorded 24 tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass defense.
