Report: Free Agent TE Tom Crabtree Working Out For The Giants Next Week

Conor Orr of NJ.com reports that free agent TE Tom Crabtree is working out for the Giants next week.

Crabtree, 28, signed a two-year, $1.6 million contract with the Bucs, but was cut loose back in May after they selected Washington TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins in the second-round of this year’s draft.

Crabtree wasn’t able to lived up to expectations in his first year in Tampa Bay, but probably had more to do with the fact that he was dealing with injuries.

The Giants could use some help at tight end, which is why there have been rumors connecting them to free agent TE Jermichael Finley. It’s also worth noting that Crabtree has played for new Giants’ OC Ben McAdoo during their time together in Green Bay.

We’ll have more regarding the Giants and Crabtree as the news is available.
