Broncos Place S Rahim Moore On Injured Reserve With Designation To Return

Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports that the Broncos have officially placed S Rahim Moore on injured reserve with the designation to return.

  • The Broncos have since announced the move.
  • Moore will be eligible to practice n six weeks and can return to game action in eight weeks.

This comes shortly after the Broncos signed former Raiders and Ravens S Michael Huff to add some extra depth at the safety position.

The Broncos will likely start Mike Adams in the coming weeks with Huff and David Bruton battling for playing time as well.

According to the Denver Post, the Broncos are weighing whether or not to place S Rahim Moore on season-ending injured reserve.

  • The report adds that Moore is expected to miss “several weeks with a serious lower leg injury.

Moore, 23, suffered the injury during the second quarter of Sunday’s night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Mike Adams filled in for Moore and figures to be the Broncos starter moving forward.

On the season, Moore has totaled 44 tackles in 10 games for the Broncos’ defense. Pro Football Focus has Moore rated as the No. 35 safety in the league with Adams coming in at No. 58.
