Report: Jerricho Cotchery Deciding Between Panthers & Steelers

Joe Person reports that free agent WR Jerricho Cotchery finished his visit with the Panthers and wound up leaving without a contract.

  • According to Person, Cotchery is now deciding between the Panthers and Steelers.

Cotchery, 31, has been a surprisingly effective player for the Steelers. Last year, he totaled 46 receptions for 602 yards receiving and a staggering 10 touchdowns for Pittsburgh.

Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 26 receiver in the league last year.

According to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Steelers free agent WR Jerricho Cotchery will visit the Panthers on Monday

  • Kaboly mentions that the Steelers have had “preliminary talks” with Cotchery regarding a new contract.
  • However, Kaboly adds that a deal is not imminent this point in time.
  • Cotchery has reportedly found interest from two others teams.
