Panthers Waive WR Armanti Edwards

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reports that the Carolina Panthers have released fourth year WR Armanti Edwards.

The Panthers used their 2010 third-round draft pick on Edwards, who played quarterback at Appalachian State. Since then, Edwards has five catches in 39 career games. Edwards, 25, has only has only played 41 snaps this season for a Panthers team who is in desperate need of help at wide receiver.

It’s doubtful that Edwards will find much, if any, interest on the open market.
