Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome “Feeling Fine” After Hospital Stay

Update:

Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome is “feeling fine” and will fly back to Baltimore on Monday.

——–

The Ravens released a statement regarding GM Ozzie Newsome.

“Ozzie Newsome did not feel well after today’s game and a team doctor recommended that Ozzie not fly tonight.”

Nestor Aparicio of WNST has been informed that Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome was taken to the hospital in an ambulance following Sunday’s game.

  • Aparicio mentions that Ozzie was sweating a lot before he left in the ambulance.
  • This was believed to be precautionary measure more than anything else.

According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, has confirmed that Newsome was in fact the Ravens official transported to the hospital.

Newsome, 57, is widely regarded as one of the league’s best general managers and has been with the team since they moved from Cleveland.

Hopefully this is nothing more than a precautionary measure and Newsome is fine, considering the recent string of health issues that head coaches John Fox and Gary Kubiak have dealt with.
