Report: Ravens Will Attempt To Trade LT Bryant McKinnie

Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Ravens are expected to explore trade possibilities for LT Bryant McKinnie now that they are close to finalizing a trade with the Jaguars for Eugene Monroe.

  • Wilson adds that McKinnie’s weight remains issue as he has not maintained weight targets included in his contract.
  • McKinnie contract requires him to weigh under 346 in order receive a $100,000 weight clause.

McKinnie, 34, signed a two-year deal worth $6.3 million with the Ravens back in May. He did participate in the Ravens’ walk through practice Wednesday, but his status with the team moving forward is clearly in doubt.

McKinnie grades out as the No. 61 offensive tackle out of 72 qualifying players, according to Pro Football Focus. With this in mind, it’s doubtful that the Ravens would be able to secure much, if anything, in return for the veteran left tackle.
