Saints Lose WR Joe Morgan & DE Kenyon Coleman For The Season

Larry Holder reports that Saints WR Joe Morgan has a torn ACL and will most likely miss the entire 2013 season.

Morgan was seeking a second opinion on his injured knee, which he hurt during Saturday’s intrasquad scrimmage. It appeared as though he was the favorite to be the team’s No. 3 receiver this season, but New Orleans will now have to turn to guys like recently signed veteran Steve Breaston and possibly even second-year WR Nick Toon.

Saints DE Kenyon Coleman also suffered a torn pectoral on Wednesday will be out for the season.

Coleman, 34, was a free agent addition brought in to help the Saints transition to a 3-4 defense. New Orleans has already lost a number of players on the defensive side of the ball, so it’s certainly not going to help matters now that they are also without one of their best run-defenders.
