Report: Titans Expect Ryan Fitzpatrick To Be Their Starting QB Next Week

Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports the Titans expect  Ryan Fitzpatrick to be their starting quarterback for the “coming weeks.

This comes after Jake Locker suffered a right hip injury during Sunday’s win over the Jets. HC Mike Munchak told reporters after the game that don’t know the extent of Locker’s injury, but added that “he’s in pain.” Munchak added that a initial look at Locker’s injury didn’t show that his hip had popped out out of the socket, which is obviously a great sign.

The Titans are currently 3-1 and could have been 4-0 if they could have pulled out an overtime win over the Texans. Tennessee will be up against the Chiefs in Week 5 and then a tough stretch of games against the Seahawks and 49ers.

Fitzpatrick finished Sunday’s game 3-of-8 for 108 yards and one touchdown. Given the fact that they have a tough stretch of games ahead of them, it’s hard to expect much in terms of production from Fitzpatrick.

We’ll have more regarding Locker’s injury throughout the week.
