Saints Activate RB Dwayne Washington From COVID-19 List

The New Orleans Saints activated RB Dwayne Washington from the COVID-19 list on Thursday.

Washington was put on the COVID-19 list coming out of training camp.

Washington, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Lions back in 2016. He spent two years in Detroit before being waived as they cut their roster down to 53 players coming out of the preseason.

Washington later signed on to the Saints’ practice squad at the start of the  2018 regular season. He was promoted to their active roster and managed to make the 53-man roster last year.

The Saints re-signed Washington this past April.

In 2019, Washington appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and rushed for 60 yards on eight carries (3.8 YPC) to go along with one reception for six yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also totaled 12 kick return yards.
