Saints Designate CB Delvin Breaux To Return From Injured Reserve

The New Orleans Saints officially designated CB Delvin Breaux as one of their two players to return from injured reserve on Friday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Saints to add him to their active roster or he’ll spend the duration of the 2017 season on injured reserve.

Breaux, 27, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent back in May of 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his three-year, $1.587 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season before becoming a restricted free agent in 2018.

The Saints placed Breaux on injured reserve coming out of the preseason.

In 2016, Breaux appeared in six games and recorded 21 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense for the Saints.
