Saints RB Daniel Lasco Out For Season With Bulging Disc

Ian Rapoport reports that Saints RB Daniel Lasco suffered a bulging disc in his back during Sunday’s win over the Bills that will end his 2017 season.

Lasco was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation, but the good news, according to Rapoport, is that while this was a scary injury, it’s not thought to be career-ending.

Lasco took a big hit during the second quarter of the game while covering a kickoff. After being down for a good period of time, Lasco was placed on a backboard and taken off by ambulance.

You can expect the Saints to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Lasco, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Saints back in 2016. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.415 million contract when the Saints waived him coming out of the preseason and later signed him to their practice squad.

New Orleans promoted Lasco to their active roster last month.

In 2017, Lasco has appeared in three games for the Saints but has yet to record a statistic.
