Herbie Teope, citing a source familiar with the situation, reports that the Saints have re-signed LS Zach Wood to a one-year contract worth $500,000 on Tuesday.
Wood was in line to be an exclusive rights free agent this offseason.
Wood, 25, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Methodist back in 2016. He was waived at the start of the regular season but returned to Dallas on a futures contract last January.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys once again cut Wood loose coming out of the preseason and he caught on with the Saints a week later.
In 2017, Wood appeared in all 16 games for the Saints.
