Saints Restructuring LT Terron Armstead’s Contract To Make Room For Dez Bryant

Nick Underhill reports that the Saints are expected to restructure the contract of LTĀ Terron Armstead to create salary cap room for the Dez Bryant signing.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Saints will specifically turn the remainder of Armstead’s $10.2 million salary for the 2018 season into a signing bonus.

Armstead, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. He’s currently in the fourth year of his six-year, $65.25 million contract that includes $25 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries ofĀ $10.2 million and $10.7 million over the next two years.

In 2018, Armstead has appeared in eight games for the Saints.
