Saints Sign Veteran OT Michael Ola

Joel A. Erickson of the Advocate reports that the Saints are signing veteran OT Michael Ola to a one-year contract after he tried out for the team during their rookie minicamp.

Ola, 30, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Hampton back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Miami before catching on with the Bears.

After stints with the Chargers, Lions, Seahawks and Giants, Ola was signed to the Bills’ active roster during the 2016 season and he was on and off of their roster leading up to the 2017 season.

Buffalo elected to waive him injured reserve with a settlement coming out of the preseason last year and he eventually signed on with the Chargers and finished out the year in Los Angeles.

In 2017, Ola appeared in two games for the Chargers.
