Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, citing a league source, reports that the Saints have signed veteran WR Josh Morgan to a contract following his tryout this weekend.
- Other notable veterans who tried out for the Saints include: G Paul McQuistan, G Uche Nwaneri, DE Da’Quan Bowers and TE Chase Coffman.
Morgan, 29, is a former sixth-round pick by the 49ers back in 2008. He played out his rookie contract with San Francisco and later signed a five-year deal with the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent back in 2012.
However, Morgan lasted just two years in Washington, but later caught on with the Bears.
In 2014, Morgan 14 games and caught 10 passes for 70 yards receiving to go along with one touchdown. He also ran for 30 yards on two carries.
