Saints Tried Out 16 Players Including QB Sean Renfree & WR Max McCaffrey

The New Orleans Saints brought in a staggering 16 players for tryouts on Tuesday, according to Nick Underhill.

The full list of players to try out for the Saints includes:

  2. WR Max McCaffrey
  3. DT Drake Nevis
  4. RB Will Ratelle
  5. WR Kevin Smith
  6. RB Soma Vainuku
  7. DE T.J. Fatinkun
  8. WR Derel Walker
  9. RB Darrel Young
  10. DT Justin Zimmer (Signed)
  11. QB Sean Renfree
  12. LB Khalil Bass
  13. LB Adam Bighill
  14. DB Tony Burnett
  15. DB Otha Foster
  16. DB Anthony Gaitor

Renfree, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He is in the final year of his four-year, $2.206 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season when the Falcons cut him loose a few weeks ago.

In 2015, Renfree appeared in two games for the Falcons and completed three of seven pass attempts for 11 yards and an interception.

McCaffrey, 25, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Duke back in May. He signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Raiders before he was unfortunately among their roster cuts last week.

During his college career at Duke, McCaffrey caught 117 passes for 1,341 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns.
