Saints Waive CB Tony Carter With Injury Designation

The New Orleans Saints announced that they’ve waived CB Tony Carter with the injury designation on Friday.

Carter was hurt during yesterday’s practice, but the nature of injury isn’t known at this time.

Should Carter clear waivers, he would likely revert to the team’s injured reserve list.

Carter, 30, signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out Florida State of back in 2009. He briefly played for the Patriots and Vikings before rejoining the Broncos in 2011 when he signed to their practice squad.

The Colts signed Carter to a contract back in October, but he was unfortunately cut loose over a month ago before signing on with the Saints a few weeks later. New Orleans brought Carter back on a one-year deal back in February.

In 2015, Carter appeared in three games, but did not record a single statistic.
