The New Orleans Saints officially waived LB Gabe Martin and signed LB Shayne Skov and DT Woodrow Hamilton to their practice squad on Tuesday. The Saints also released Bradley Sylve from their practice squad.
The Saints’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Travin Dural
- C Cameron Tom
- OL John Fullington
- TE Garrett Griffin
- DE Alex Jenkins (International)
- G Landon Turner
- RB Daniel Lasco
- LB Adam Bighill
- DB Arthur Maulet
- LB Shayne Skov
- DT Woodrow Hamilton
Skov, 27, signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2014. He had a brief stint with the Buccaneers but has spent the majority of his NFL career on and off of the 49ers’ active roster.
San Francisco elected to cut Skov loose coming out the preseason last year before adding him to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.
The 49ers re-signed him to a contract this past August but he wound up being among their final roster cuts.
In 2016, Skov appeared in nine games and recorded eight tackles for the 49ers before he was placed on injured reserve.
