Saints Working Out LB Scooby Wright

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Saints are bringing in free agent LB Scooby Wright for a workout on Friday.

This is the first reported interest in Wright since he became available.

Wright, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was cut loose a few weeks into the 2016 season before signing on to the Browns’ practice squad.

The Cardinals would later sign him to their active roster towards the end of the 2016 season. Unfortunately, Wright was cut loose at the start of last year and was on and off of the Cardinals’ practice squad.

Arizona elected to move on from Wright last weekend as they cut their roster down to 53 players.

In 2017, Wright appeared in 10 games for the Cardinals and recorded five tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
