FoxSports.com’s Adam Caplan reports that soon to be free agent WR Santonio Holmes “is absolutely looking forward to playing the rest of his career in a Jets uniform.”
The Jets have already mentioned that Holmes is their top priority this offseason but Holmes is said to be looking for a market valued contract which is something that could complicate negotiations once an agreement is reached regarding a new CBA.
Last season, Holmes proved his value to the team and was leaned on heavily by Mark Sanchez. The big question will be who will they choose to let go if they’re able to re-sign Holmes. Braylon Edwards, Brad Smith, Shaun Ellis, Antonio Cromartie and Jason Taylor are just some of the players that they’ll have to address at some point.
